Birmingham, Ala.-based Waynes Pest Control announced three promotions for its executive leadership team.
Trey Strickland is the new vice president of service and acquisition management. He joined Waynes Pest Control as a regional market leader before serving as the company’s university and technical leader. He is a third-generation pest management professional (PMP) with more than 10 years of industry experience. He is a graduate of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) Executive Leadership Program and served on the Public Policy Committee. Currently, Strickland serves as vice president of the Alabama Pest Control Association (APCA) and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for QualityPro. Strickland also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Auburn University.
Jennifer Gray is now the vice president of customer care and integration. She began her career at Waynes as a customer experience team member in Birmingham, Ala., before relocating to the Gulf Coast as a service center leader. Gray them moved back to Birmingham, where she created the Waynes Pest Control call center and centralized many of the company’s administration functions. Her most recent role, as vice president of best practices, focused on the systematic and efficient integration of new companies into the Waynes Pest Control family through merger and acquisition activities. In her new role, Gray will continue to steer Waynes’ “One Voice” Customer Experience Team while focusing on excellence in supporting Waynes’ customers and builder partners. In addition, Gray was recently honored with the inaugural Impact Award for Women in Pest Management by the NPMA.
Fred Strickland is now vice president of technical services and operational excellence. He comes from a family deeply rooted in the pest management industry, and has spent over 40 years involved in the industry. He joined Waynes in December 2020 as vice president of customer experience. Previously, Strickland worked with Terminix and spent time in India developing, training and launching company operations there. In addition to being an international, national and local industry and motivational speaker, Strickland is a member of the Entomological Society of America (ESA) and a Board-Certified Entomologist (BCE) specializing in Urban and Industrial entomology. Strickland still classifies himself as “a lifelong student of entomology.” He played collegiate basketball for Louisiana Tech University and ultimately received his degree in education from the University of South Alabama. In October 2006, he completed the Vanderbilt University’s “Owens Graduate School” Executive Development Institute in Business Management.
