When our Pest Management Professional (PMP) team travels to Boston, Mass., next month for the National Pest Management Association’s (NPMA’s) PestWorld 2022 event, we will network and mix with industry friends and colleagues from across the country – and even the globe. Among the crowd, we will interact with many professionals we know will one day be voted into the PMP Hall of Fame.

What do PMP Hall of Famers have in common? You can see for yourself on the long list of members in this issue, and the profiles of our four inductees for the Class of 2022 thereafter. Each member has a special devotion to the industry, whether it’s working to improve a product, a training strategy, a company’s growth, a regulatory issue — the list is endless. Some of them literally “built a better mousetrap”; others took pest control marketing to new heights.

I bet, quite a few future PMP Hall of Famers might not be at this PestWorld event. Heck, some might not have even entered the industry yet. But as interesting as it is to learn about the accomplishments of past pioneers, we also are excited to learn about the inductees to come in the membership classes of the future. We’ve been honoring these pest management luminaries for more than 25 years, and we intend to celebrate their achievements for many years to come.
