La Verne, Calif.-based California Pest Management brought out sponsorship of the Russo Family Funny Car and Jeff Rend at the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Finals in Pomona, Calif.

“With awesome shout out from the on-site commentators and Fox Sports TV commentators, California Pest Management got their money’s worth,” according to the news release.

In addition, California Pest Management sponsored Azusa High School’s Auto shop class to attend the finals to get up close and personal with the auto racing industry.

Jim Harmon, an entomologist who founded the LaVerne, Calif.-based firm in 2008 and is its current CEO, has long been known for his involvement with NHRA. Harmon and his wife, Gail, are also community minded, having earned the 2022

Business of the Year award by the La Verne Chamber of Commerce thanks to their donation of a ballistic protective vest to the La Verne Police Department’s canine officer, among other initiatives.
