Columbus, Ind.-based Burt’s Termite & Pest Control celebrated National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in “pink” fashion.

Technicians wore pink booties and buttons to raise awareness of breast cancer and honor those who have been affected by this horrible disease.

Burt’s Termite & Pest Control partnered with Shubee shoe covers and Buns and Beards Beauty Lounge, a local business, to support their annual Bash to Beat Cancer event. A portion of sales in October will be donated to assist with out-of-pocket expenses not covered by insurance that cancer patient may experience while receiving treatment.

This is the third consecutive year Burt’s Termite & Pest Control has participated in “Covered for the Cause.” Doug Foster, president of Burt’s Termite & Pest Control, said the team wants to continue this tradition for years to come. Foster is also a member of Pest Management Professional magazine’s editorial advisory board, and a frequent contributor to the magazine’s blog, PMPPestTalk.net.
