For the first time, Tampa, Fla.-based Certus has partnered with a local pest control company: Bug Master Pest Control, based in Palm Harbor, Fla.
“When we planned our first partnership in the Tampa Bay area, it was important to find a pest control company that shares our goal to be a leader in operational excellence. Bug Master Pest Control met all our expectations, and I’m excited to have them join the Certus family,” Certus CEO Dave Bradford said in a news release.
Bug Master has served the Tampa Bay region for nearly half a century, mainly in northern Pinellas County, including the cities of Clearwater, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor and Tarpon Springs.
“There are plenty of pest control companies based in Tampa Bay that Certus could partner with, but the key is finding the right one that matches our commitment to excellence and aligns with our core values,” Patrick Kelly, Certus’ senior vice president of corporate development, said in the news release. “What Bug Master has built in Tampa Bay since 1978 is admirable, and I knew they were the perfect fit for us to place a stamp on the Tampa Bay market. They’ll also set the benchmark for future partnerships we undertake in this significant area that plays a vital role in the economies of both Florida and the United States.”
Bug Master will retain its name, branding and office location. The Certus partnership will provide Bug Master customers with immediate positive enhancements, including additional resources, expanded service offerings and heightened operational support.
“When I decided to partner with a larger pest control company, it was important to me to find one that not only shared Bug Master’s vision but also understood our customers and the unique pest problems we face here in Tampa Bay,” Pete Zervos, owner of Bug Master Pest Control, explained in the news release. “Many of the leaders at Certus live right here in our area. That gives them a special understanding of the pests and climate we deal with every day, which made me confident they are the right partners to keep providing our customers with the personalized service they need.”
