Minneapolis, Minn.-based Plunkett’s Pest Control, Inc. has acquired Horizon Pest Management, a locally owned company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This acquisition strengthens Plunkett’s presence in Wisconsin and reflects its continued commitment to serving customers across the Midwest.
Horizon was founded in 2002 by Craig Wycklendt, with the support of his wife, Shawn. After working in sales for a national pest management company, Craig realized he enjoyed the personal side of the business—setting up services, building relationships, and earning the trust of customers who often asked for him by name.
Wycklendt said in a release, “As I step back from the day-to-day, I feel confident knowing my customers will be in great hands with Plunkett’s. They share the same values we’ve built Horizon on—treating people and their homes with care and respect. It’s reassuring to know our clients will continue receiving the personal service they’ve come to expect.”
Aly Silva Mulgrew, president of Plunkett’s Pest Control, shared in a release, “Craig’s story is one of perseverance, loyalty and genuine care for people. Those are the same values that drive us at Plunkett’s, and we’re honored to carry on the legacy he built over the past two decades.”
Craig will remain in an advisory role for a short time during the transition before fully stepping away. Looking ahead, he plans to dedicate more time to volunteering with his church, swimming and exploring new hobbies.
