The Georgia Pest Control Association (GPCA) recognized two team members from Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators at the association’s Winter Conference in Athens, Ga. on Jan. 8.
Pasha Simpson, Arrow’s director of inside sales, and Brett Craig, Arrow University training manager, were recognized for graduating from the GPCA Leadership Program. The program brings members of the pest control industry together for leadership guidance, while also giving back to their community.
“As an alumni of the GPCA Leadership Program, I know firsthand that this program provides industry up and coming leaders with exceptional training,” said Shay Runion, Arrow’s chief HR officer and senior VP of professional development. “Both Pasha and Brett are leaders here at Arrow and this training will help them in their current and future roles with the organization.”
Along with graduating from the Leadership Program, Simpson was awarded with the James Allgood Jr. Leadership Award. This GPCA award recognizes outstanding leaders within the current Leadership Program class. Recipients are nominated by the leadership class who then vote for the individual who exemplifies the best leadership of the group. With this honor, Simpson will co-chair the 2020 Leadership Program, which convenes every other year.
“It was amazing to have the opportunity to be a part of the 2019 GPCA leadership class,” Simpson said. “This program has provided me with the guidance and vision to further strengthen my passion to be the best leader. It truly has been a wonderful experience. I’m so honored to be co-recipient of the James Allgood Jr. Award for leadership with Amye Roberson.”
Simpson began her career in the pest control industry with Arrow nearly 13 years ago as a customer care department team member. During her time with Arrow, Simpson has held many different leadership positions within Arrow including customer care specialist, office manager, regional inside sales manager, manager of special ops and director of inside Sales.
“Congratulations to Pasha on receiving the James Allgood Jr. Leadership Award,” Runion said. “This is such an honor and we are so proud of Pasha and her leadership amongst her peers during this year’s class.”
