Pest Posse TV spotlights bed bugs in September

September is “bed bug month” on Pest Posse TV. Bed bug management will be the focus of The Pest Posse’s online channel, with exclusive video content geared to pest management professionals (PMPs).

“New episodes every Monday will be sponsored by Aprehend, and will focus on products for bed bug control and a review of Pest Management Professional’s (PMP’s) exclusive Bed Bug Management Survey,” says Foster Brusca, The Pest Posse’s co-founder and a PMP Editorial Advisory Board member. “It is a jammed-pack month full of helpful content for all PMPs.”

Bed bug month kicked off on Sept. 6 with a Facebook Live livestream event, moderated by Brusca and The Pest Posse Co-founder Culley Christensen. Guest Dr. Dini Miller, professor in the Urban Pest Management Department of Entomology at Virginia Tech and Virginia’s urban pest management specialist, discussed integrated pest management (IPM) vs. assessment-based pest management (APM). Dr. Miller is also a PMP Hall of Fame member (Class of 2019).

Additional bed bug-related episodes airing every Monday in September include:

• Sept. 13: Guest Dr. Nina Jenkins, ConidioTec founder and chief technical officer, talks with Brusca and Christensen about assessment-based pest management (APM) using Aprehend, a natural biopesticide bed bug elimination and prevention solution.
• Sept. 20: Guest Jeff White, chief product officer at TRNZ4m (formerly BedBug Central) discusses with Cully the company’s innovative pitfall trap for bed bugs.
• Sept. 27: Guest Diane Sofranec, PMP senior editor, shares with Brusca details about PMP’s 2021 Bed Bug Management Survey.

To encourage PMPs to sign up for a free Pest Posse TV membership, The Pest Posse launched The Great Pest Control Giveaway. Now underway, it gives viewers a chance to win prizes from pest control product manufacturers and distributors.

“The Great Pest Control Giveaway is going strong and gaining new members at a steady pace,” Brusca says. “We already have given away several prizes, and are anticipating another drawing in the next couple of days. Be on the lookout for this Facebook Live event announcement!”

Over the past four years, The Pest Posse has been creating video content to help educate PMPs. Now, they can tune in on a dedicated channel, Pest Posse TV. The company has more in store for PMPs, Brusca says.

“We also are working on a fantastic way for people to access the Pest Posse TV content, and we should be ready to announce this to all members of Pest Posse TV in the next week or two,” he shares.
