Louisville, Ky.-based OPC Pest Services, a subsidiary of Rollins, acquired The Wheeldon Co., which will extend the company’s presence in the Bowling Green and South-Central Kentucky area.

The Wheeldon Co. is a family-owned business that has grown from two to 17 employees over the past 18 years. With more than 40 years in the pest control industry, the company defines its success by “achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction possible.”

“We’ve known Garry Wheeldon for years and have seen the Wheeldon Company grow into a successful business,” OPC Pest Servcies Co-President Kevin Mills said in the news release. “We found their service quality and reputation equal to ours, including how they treat their customers and employees with the utmost respect and importance. Those values match ours at OPC, so it was a natural fit for us. We are excited for the opportunities and benefits for the Wheeldon team.”

The acquisition will not only enable both companies to broaden their service areas in Kentucky, but it will also allow them to retain the family feel of a neighborhood provider with the perks of a larger company with more resources behind it. It also adds more technicians so they can respond to customer requests and pest issues even faster than they were able to before.
