RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC—Pest management professionals (PMPs) can now instantly access Bayer’s easy-to-follow ant identification steps and recommended treatment solutions on their mobile devices using the newest Maxforce Ant Solutions app from Environmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience LP. As part of a promotion that runs Aug. 1 through Sept. 30, Bayer will send a Tervis Tumbler to the first 100 users who download the free app from the iTunes or Google Play store, and five randomly selected users will win a Yeti cooler.
“In 2013, Bayer launched the Maxforce Ant Solutions website in an effort to provide more clarity around ant identification and the various Maxforce Ant solutions available to PMPs,” said Ray Daniels, marketing manager, Baits and Termites for Bayer Environmental Science. “Now, PMPs can access this valuable resource through their hand-held devices while in the field – instantly taking the guesswork out of baiting while putting the power of choice in their hands.”
When logged into the app, PMPs will be asked a brief series of questions to identify the appropriate recommended Maxforce Ant product to suit their needs. These questions ask PMPs to describe the type of ant, where it’s located and what it’s feeding on in that particular location. Based on the answers to the questions, PMPs will receive a recommendation for the best available ant solution.
One of the solutions PMPs will learn about through use of the app is Maxforce Quantum Ant Bait, which features new packaging. Now available in a 120-gram easy-squeeze tube, Quantum can be used for crack and crevice applications with its new, intuitive needle tip. The large screw-on cap prevents loss and leaking product, and the volume meter printed on the tube allows PMPs to see how much product is left in the container as it is used.
