DuPont
DuPont Altriset, the company’s first major termiticide launch in the last decade, is in a class of chemistry with a mode of action like no other termite control product. Studies prove it halts termite feeding within hours while providing termite elimination for critical long-term structural protection. It offers an excellent toxicological and environmental profile: The liquid termiticide features a Reduced Risk registration from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and does not require warning or caution on the label.

Ensystex
Installed in-ground or above-ground as the situation necessitates, the Isopthor station is designed to both speed the process of termites finding the station and to increase the percentage of installed stations at which termites are intercepted. This is made possible because of the arrangement of the Interceptor non-toxic bait in the station, and the high preference termites have for the wood used to form the Interceptors. Once termites begin feeding, the Interceptor bait is switched out for Isopthor Termite Bait, which works quickly to control the termite colony and prevent new colonies from moving in.

FMC Professional Products
Transport Termiticide/Insecticide and the new formulation Transport Mikron quickly control termite infestations, while also providing long-term protection from future termite invasions. Efficacy data shows that in 94% of treatments, the termiticide stopped termite activity within 30 days of treatment. An application with Transport actually creates two active treatment zones within the soil: The outer zone provides quick results against termites active inside and outside of the structure, while the inner zone provides long-lasting barrier of protection to prevent future invasions. Transport is labeled for all three genera of termites: Reticulitermes, Heterotermes and Coptotermes.

Nisus Corporation
Termistops are a non-chemical, physical termite barrier made of high-grade stainless steel mesh, available in a range of sizes, designed to be fitted to plumbing and other service penetrations before the concrete slab is poured. When clamped to each individual penetration, the concrete “keys” into the mesh, eliminating the small gap between the concrete slab and service pipe that would allow entry by termites. It packs a one-two punch when used with Bora-Care Commercial Termiticide, to provide protection to all potential termite entry points.

XT2000
XT-2000 Orange Oil Plus consists of 95% of its active ingredient, d-limonene — a citrus oil derived from the rind of the orange. When injected directly into termite galleries, the naturally occurring essential oil kills termites and their eggs on contact. Should a termite avoid physical contact with XT-2000 Orange Oil Plus, it can die if it eats any wood recently treated with the product. The oil also features the ability to wick through wood, traveling through the porous cells in all directions; it will not only treat the areas into which it is injected, but will soak into the surrounding areas as well.

Dow Agrosciences
New Always Active technology can help Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination System Authorized Operators increase route efficiency and reduce labor costs, since they are only required to service Sentricon stations on a yearly basis. Locate and Identify (LID) technology features radio frequency identification (RFID) sensors to help technicians service sites with no worries about missing stations covered by grass or landscaping. Last but not least, the new Recruit HD termite bait contains a bait matrix that extends durability throughout all soil conditions. It also contains 2.3 times more active ingredient than Recruit IV termite bait, more than enough to eliminate a typical termite colony. In termite palatability tests, Recruit HD termite bait was preferred over wood, and became even more preferable and palatable over time.

Syngenta
When used as a foam treatment for drywood termites, Optigard Flex delivers non-repellent control throughout the colony. Because a drywood termite colony is located where the damage is, within the wood being attacked, it is possible to treat the colony locally by injecting a foam mix of Optigard Flex into the gallery. As the foam expands, it penetrates deeply into the colony and is easily transferred through the normal habits of this social insect. The product is also approved for use as a sprayable liquid or a foam for indoor and outdoor general pest control.
