DALLAS — HomeTeam Pest Defense has received the highly sought-after “Partners of Choice” Award from premier builder David Weekley Homes. HomeTeam is the only pest and termite control service company to receive this well-respected industry award. The company received an “A” rating for quality in David Weekley Homes’ rigorous Supplier Evaluation System.
This is the second year in a row HomeTeam has won the award, and is only one of six companies to earn an “A” rating this year. This recognition puts HomeTeam in the top 10% of all suppliers to the nation’s third-largest privately held, for-profit home builder, David Weekley Homes.

The annual awards are based on Weekley’s comprehensive supplier evaluation system. At the heart of the system is the National Trading Partner Survey, a review of 150+ suppliers by the home builder’s team members. Suppliers are evaluated on quality and service, scores are averaged and alpha rankings assigned in 20 percent increments from A to F.
Now in its ninth year, average scores have increased dramatically year over year. Each year the coveted “Partners of Choice” award becomes increasingly harder to attain. According to Bill Justus, vice president of supply chain services and mastermind behind David Weekley Homes’ evaluation platform, “pursuit of world-class excellence is a journey and not just a point in time.
