ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Industry consultant Patrick Callahan, president of C3 Group, has begun helping Atrix International capture more market share with its patented Immediate Containment High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) Cartridge Filter systems.
“Over the last month, I have learned more about vacuum technology and HEPA filters than I ever thought possible,” Callahan teases. “I also have learned that a vast majority of PMPs are still using DustBusters, Dirt Devils or Shop Vac-type machines to pick up materials that are potentially hazardous to themselves, their technicians and their customers. It is apparent that PMPs have a great opportunity to upgrade their professional image and practices by utilizing state-of-the-art vacuum and HEPA filter technology.”
The recent worldwide news about hantavirus deaths and major problems at Yosemite National Park camp sites and cabins brought all of this to the forefront. PMPs are faced with handling potentially dangerous materials, whether that is rodent droppings, live and dead roaches, live and dead bed bugs (some that are fully engorged with blood ), dried blood, cast skins of insects, stink bugs, dust from houses built before 1978 that may have been painted with lead-based paint, or even “suspicious white powder” in a mail room.
“Whether PMPs are cleaning up after termite damage repair, removing thousands of bed bugs from someone’s home, or eliminating a trail of ants from a school cafeteria in the middle of lunch break, they bring peace of mind to themselves and their customers knowing that whatever is picked up into the vacuum will remain in the filter,” Callahan says.
