Photo: RockwellLabs.comCimeXa Insecticide Dust provides exceptional control of brown recluse spiders, and other venomous spiders such as hobo and yellow sac when they are dwelling indoors. It is also effective against bed bugs (including pyrethroid-resistant strains), fleas, ticks, lice, cockroaches, ants, firebrats, silverfish and mites, and may also be used for the prevention and treatment of drywood termites. CimeXa is odorless, non-staining, non-repellent and lasts up to 10 years when undisturbed. The broad label allows the product to be used to treat cracks, crevices, voids, mattresses, carpets, pet rest areas, attics and many other areas. It is also fully compatible with heat treatments.  For greater application diversity, CimeXa may also be mixed with water and sprayed, which will leave a fine coating of the dust once dried. Compared to diatomaceous earth, the product has much higher potency because of its much higher affinity to absorb liquid water and oil, the company says; thus, control results will be about three times faster (based upon lab tests). The amorphous silica has an extremely low toxicity profile, and is even allowed as a food additive. CimeXa is packed in quarts, which hold 4 oz. of the extremely light dust and 5 gallon pails that hold 5 lbs. The standard usage rate is 2 oz. per 100 sq. ft.
