Pate is Central Life Sciences’ 2012 Salesman of the Year

SCHAUMBURG, ILL—Central Life Sciences, whose founders invented insect growth regulator (IGR) technology more than 35 years ago, has selected Charlie Pate as the 2012 recipient of the Salesman of the Year award for the Zoëcon Professional Products division.

Pate, who earned the very first Salesman of the Year award in 1999 as well as in 2002, is the Mid-Atlantic region manager, and is responsible for Central Life Sciences’ vector and professional pest management. He provides support to distributors and agents, while moving pest and vector control products through the sales system in specified territories that include Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

“Charlie has been with Central Life Sciences for nearly 23 years, and has always been one of our most consistent salespeople, leading to his tremendous reputation for effective leadership and sales achievement,” says Larry Smith, director of sales for Central Life Sciences. “He has been a staple of the ZPP division sales force, generating outstanding sales numbers for 2012, and we are very pleased to present him with this award.”

Pate earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Clemson University (Clemson, S.C.) and a master’s degree in entomology from the University of Georgia (Athens, Ga.). He is currently an active member of various pest and mosquito control associations located in the Mid-Atlantic region as well as a member of the Clemson University fraternity, Phi Delta Theta. Pate currently resides in Eatonton, Ga.
