PARAMUS, N.J.—Stuart Aust, president and CEO of Bug Doctor Termite & Pest Control/Bird Doctor Nationwide, recently addressed the students of the Business Department at Taylor University, Upland, Ind., about becoming an entrepreneur.

The invitation to speak came from Dr. Ben Sells, vice president for University Advancement, and the event took place on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Ayres Memorial Hall, also known as “The Court Room.”  Sells regularly invites leaders throughout the year from all aspects of the business world to address the students.

Founded in 1846, Taylor University is an interdenominational liberal arts university of evangelical faith.  The student body consists of 1,913 traditional undergraduates, 101 graduates and 238 online students.

Aust lectured on the founding of Bug Doctor Termite & Pest Control/Bird Doctor Nationwide 21 years ago, as well as the development of the different divisions over time and how it all related to the theme “Business, Defining Moments and Identifying One Degree of Change.”  He discussed with them the lessons he has learned throughout the years in business, and passed a number of these tips on to the students. He also spoke about family and faith and tying it all together.

Aust’s son Daniel is a senior at Taylor University. The younger Aust also works part-time as business development coordinator for Bug Doctor Termite & Pest Control/Bird Doctor Nationwide.
