SCHAUMBURG, IL—Central Life Sciences’ digital pest management resource developed for dairy professionals, YourIPM.com, is now available as a free downloadable application for iPad devices. Dairy professionals may access and download the application at https://itunes.apple.com/us/
Operation IPM Dairy offers dairy professionals facts about pests commonly found in a dairy operation and explains best practices to help dairy operators develop a customized IPM program.
“Because so many dairy professionals are using mobile devices as part of their everyday operations, Central Life Sciences has made it easy for them to access this interactive pest management resource from their iPad devices,” says Mark Taylor, director of marketing for agricultural products, Central Life Sciences. “The combination of education and strategies for creating a comprehensive IPM program the mobile application offers can help dairy professionals protect their bottom lines.”
The application provides a virtual dairy for visitors to explore with detailed information on common dairy pests and more than 50 facts and tips outlining best practices for an effective IPM program. Visitors can view 11 different areas of a dairy operation and read pest-control product descriptions and recommendations specific to the different application sites. As visitors move through the site, they can add recommended products to a custom “My IPM Plan” that can be sent to Dropbox or printed and brought to a feed distributor or Starbar product retailer.
