RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC—As part of its ongoing mission to celebrate the value pest management professionals (PMPs) bring to society, Environmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience LP, Bayer has announced the five finalists for its Tales of Transformation initiative, and each finalist’s story is featured online, where viewers can watch all five videos. Bayer launched Tales of Transformation at PestWorld last October, calling upon PMPs to share their proudest moments of when they used Bayer products and solutions to transform the lives and living conditions of customers battling severe pest infestations.
“We’re excited to announce our five finalists who all show great passion for their work and dedication to ridding their customers’ homes and businesses of pests that pose public health threats,” says Norman Barclift, marketing manager, General Insect Control. “We’ve heard great stories of times when these finalists used their skills, expertise and Bayer products to transform the lives of their customers. Now it’s time for the industry to get to know each one of them.”
All five stories from the following finalists can be viewed before the voting period opens in August:
- Clem Jaggan, Truly Nolen of America, Orlando, Fla.
- Scott Robbins, Action Pest Control, Evansville, Ind.
- Rick Steinau, Ace Exterminating, Cincinnati, Ohio
- Adam Villareal, Insight Pest Solutions, Morrisville, N.C.
- Joseph Wilson, All Pro Pest Control, Santa Clarita, Calif.
Once the voting period opens in August, professionals will have the chance to vote for the winning submission, which will be announced in October prior to PestWorld2014. The winner will receive complimentary Bayer products to be used for a community service initiative of his choice. In addition, he will be awarded with an all-expenses-paid trip. Industry-wide communications regarding the voting period will be announced later this summer.
“We encourage members of the industry to check out all of the videos online and learn more about these finalists and the stories they’ve shared.” Barclift says. “We’re excited to give these stories a platform and showcase these PMPs who are resolving tough-to-treat pest infestations with Bayer products.”
