NEPTUNE, NJ—Marathon Data Systems, an industry provider of Software-as-a Service (SaaS) solutions, in collaboration with the Florida Pest Management Association (FPMA), recently wrapped up its PestPac User Conference East, after Marathon concluded its PestPac User Conference West in November 2014. Both events brought together more than 300 attendees on both coasts for a comprehensive look at the pest management industry.
“We’ve learned a lot about our customers since our first conference, way back in 2004, and expanding our offerings based on their feedback was at the forefront for our latest conferences,” says Chris Sullens, CEO and president of Marathon Data Systems. “The PestPac User Conferences offer attendees the unique opportunity to learn hands-on from our knowledgeable Marathon staff about ways they can best take advantage of all of PestPac’s robust features, all while interacting with their peers to learn how they may be maximizing their results.”
Building on past conferences, Marathon designed expanded agendas for its latest conferences, incorporating track-based classes for all attendees, from beginners to the most seasoned PestPac users. Also new this year was the PestPac Report Writer Booth, an area specific to helping participants create their own custom reports, pulling data tailored to their wants and needs. Extended hours were also offered for the PestPac Genius Booth, a fan favorite that provides dedicated 1:1 support for attendees. Partnering with the FPMA afforded attendees at the East conference comprehensive industry-specific training while also providing an opportunity to earn continuing education units toward their certification.
Delivering notable presentations at PestPac User Conference East were Sunny Grosso of Delivering Happiness, the brainchild of Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh, discussing how happiness is the key ingredient in building a long-lasting and enduring brand, as well as Matthew “Whiz” Buckley, Afterburner corporate consultant and founder and CEO of Strike Fighter Financial LLC.
“Our biggest advantage of coming to the User Conference and one of the real things we look forward to is networking with other companies to see what they’ve tried in the software, and how they’ve approached some of their challenges and then solved them, so that we don’t have to reinvent the wheel each time we come up against something,” says Jason Schwarz, chief technology officer at MSC, Inc.
Marathon Data Systems’ next PestPac User Conference will take place Jan. 18-22, 2016, in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Visit events.marathondata.com/uceast/ for more information.
