When the Green Pest Services team decided to give back to their Southern Maryland/Northern Virginia community by setting up a college scholarship fund, they didn’t realize just how many lives they would touch. The initial plan was to award one college freshman with a scholarship, but because they received so many great applications, they decided to expand it to four recipients:
• Emily Carnochan is a graduating senior from North Caroline High School in Ridgely and has been accepted to study at York College of Pennsylvania this fall. She plans on majoring in sports management while playing collegiate soccer.
• Niya Gray recently graduated from Kecoughtan High School and has been accepted to study at the College of William and Mary in Virginia. She plans on studying neuroscience.
• Devante Ralph recently graduated from Cambridge-South Dorchester high school and has been accepted to study at Rutgers University this fall. He plans on majoring in business administration and minoring in computer science.
• Haley Zullo is a graduating senior from George Mason High School in Falls Church, Virginia and has been accepted to study at Virginia Commonwealth University this fall. She plans on studying environmental engineering.
You can read more about the four stellar students in a great Green Pest blog post here, which is also where the above descriptions were taken. Each received $750 toward their studies.
“It is our privilege to be a part of this incredible community and help these fine young adults on their path to change the world,” the Green Pest team concludes on their post.
Green Pest Services has 24 locations across Virginia and Maryland, offering both residential and commercial service.
