Ecola logoEcola Termite and Pest Control has been voted the No. 1 pest control company in Southern California for two years in row. The Los Angeles Daily News is the second-largest daily newspaper in Los Angeles. Voters were allowed to cast ballots by mail and electronically over the web.

Ecola’s win streak has been kept alive by the concept of offering individual custom solutions for the myriad of termite- and pest-related issues that can affect the ecology in each and every homeowner’s home differently. As Owner Sue “The Termite Lady” Fries quips, “Green was just a color for pest control companies when I took over the helm and purchased Ecola.”

Inspired by a son who struggled as a young child, Fries was moved immensely and immediate sought out alternatives to common household contaminants that can aggravate the symptoms of asthma and allergies. Her journey is chronicled in her award-winning book, Learning to Breathe, which took home a prize at a San Francisco book festival.

“Three generations of my family has worked in the pest control business,” says Fries, whose firm was founded in 1983. “My customers want to deal with a company whose methods and reputation have stood the test of time.”
