Moxie Pest Control, which launched the Moxie Customer Service Scholarship in June, awarded the scholarship to its first recipient.
Osa Neal received $500 for the fall semester of college. The company says it plans to offer the scholarship each fall and spring semester. Students who apply for this award are required to write a 500-word essay describing a time in which they provided excellent customer service, as well as the outcome of the experience.
“This scholarship was designed as a funding solution to college education related problems with an emphasis on helping the community based on the company’s philosophy of excellent customer service,” said Moxie’s Arizona Branch Manager Austin Clark. “Quality education is not available to many because of their financial constraints. We are extremely happy because now we have the very first recipient of the scholarship and are confident about making a long-term impact.”
Moxie Pest Control was founded in 1999 by Jason and Kristen Walton. The Arizona-based company also has locations in Virginia, North Carolina, Utah, Colorado, Texas, California and Missouri. It’s mission is to “increase the standard of living and the quality of life for our clients, employees, and the community.”
