The Oklahoma Pest Management Association (OPMA) presented $10,000 to Oklahoma State University for bed bug research this month at the OPMA conference.

Brad Parker, the president of OPMA, gave the check to Dr. Jackie Lee, an OSU research entomologist.

“The Oklahoma State University Pesticide Safety Education Program greatly appreciates the generosity and support of the Oklahoma Management Association donation of $10,000,” says Lee. “This donation will not only support education and advancement of the pest control industry, but also our communities. This funding will support an addition to our training facility that will include an area for hands-on education focused on bed bug management and pesticide safety.”

“Bed bugs are an increasing concern in Oklahoma,” Lee adds. “This program will help spread awareness on management, pesticide safety and prevention.”
