McDonough, Ga.,-based Active Pest Control is the title sponsor of the Georgia Aquarium’s Insect Exhibit.

“Active Pest Control is excited and honored be a part of the Georgia Aquarium family,” says Active Pest Control CEO Tony Carder. “Active and Georgia Aquarium both share a passion for family fun activities, and we are thrilled about the opportunity we have to partner with the Georgia Aquarium in educating students about insects. Active has continued to be blessed by an amazing team that is dedicated to maintaining our 31-year commitment of excellence and honoring our motto of ‘Where Relationships Matter.’ We look forward to a fantastic relationship with Georgia Aquarium.”

The Active Pest Control Insect Exhibit is featured in the Aquanaut Adventure gallery at Georgia Aquarium. These interactive, STEAM-based learning exhibits help students and guests of all ages learn about the world’s ecosystems through science, technology, engineering, arts and math. The Insect Exhibit is a full display of some of the most colorful and interesting insects in the natural world. Guests learn about them and the roles each one play in their respective environments.

“This new relationship with Active Pest Control is a great opportunity for our guests to learn not only about our ecosystems and the insects within them, but about how insects impact different environments,” says Hiroshi Okuda, director of sponsor relations at Georgia Aquarium. “We are proud to have Active Pest Control sponsoring this unique exhibit in our Aquanaut Adventure gallery.” The proceeds from Active Pest Control’s sponsorship will directly help fund Georgia Aquarium’s Sponsored Education Admissions (SEA) Program. This program offers free or reduced admission to schools and educational groups in need of financial assistance. In 2016 alone, more than 56,000 students visited Georgia Aquarium with the SEA Program.

In addition, Active Pest Control is now the “Official Pest Control” of Georgia State Athletics. As part of the deal signed by Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment (VWSE), media rights holder at Georgia State, Active Pest Control will provide pest control protection for several Georgia States athletics facilities and marketing assets around athletic events.

Family-owned since its inception in 1985, Active Pest Control is a full-service pest control, termite, wildfire removal and exclusion, attic insulation and crawlspace encapsulation company serving more than 40,000 customers daily in both Georgia and Houston, Texas.
