McDonough, Ga.-based Active Pest Control is the title sponsor for the Active Pest Control 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, which will take place March 4 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Active has partnered with Wounded Warrior Project and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, hoping to bring awareness to these two organizations by choosing representatives from both organizations to act as the Active Pest Control 200 co-Grand Marshals.
Marisa Appling, a partner of the Wounded Warrior Project, is a U.S. Navy veteran. She served our country for 12 years, which included deployments to Guam and Iraq, as an Operations Specialist. She currently lives in Augusta, Ga., and is a full-time student. Also partnered with Wounded Warrior Project is Robert Langford, Jr., who served in the U.S. Army for eight years. He was stationed in Germany for two of those years in the U.S. Army band. He currently lives in Birmingham, Ala., working at the VA to help his fellow veterans.
The representative for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is Jaxx Reasoner. The 5-year-old was diagnosed with leukemia in August 2016. He is currently in remission, though he is still undergoing regular treatments.
“We are proud to have these three as co-Grand Marshals for the race. Each individual has done amazing things, from battling illness to battling for our freedom,” says Tony Carder, CEO of Active Pest Control. “We are thankful for the service of Marisa and Robert, along with all U.S. military personnel. We are also thankful for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, as they work hard every day to make children around Georgia healthy again.”
The three co-Grand Marshals will join with Active Pest Control President Jeff Swaney in giving the command to start the Active Pest Control 200.
