Truly Nolen Pest Control now has its first location in South Dakota, as Sioux Falls native Ryan Anderson opened a franchise in the city.

The business is located at 801 East 41st Street in Sioux Falls. Anderson’s experience with franchises dates to 2000. For 16 years, he owned a Scotts Lawn Service franchise that met the needs of customers in the Sioux Falls area. TruGreen purchased the business.

“After selling my business, I spoke with a trusted colleague who told me Truly Nolen was a great company that treated its franchisees well,” Anderson said. “I am looking forward to growing my new business and hope to be successful.”

A Truly Nolen ribbon cutting event hosted by the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce took place July 21 at Falls Park. The 27-foot Truly Nolen Mouse Limo was onsite and in Sioux Falls all week. It took a lap around Sioux Falls Stadium during a Sioux Falls Canaries baseball game the day before.

Anderson said his stepson Nathan will be a salesman for the new office.

Greg Bohne, Truly Nolen Vice President, Domestic Franchising, said Anderson went through training recently at the company’s Leadership Center in Tucson, Ariz.

“Ryan is ready to hit the ground running with community involvement and helping customers with their summer pest issues,” said Bohne. “His previous lawn care experience and franchising success will help him follow a strong roadmap to success in the Sioux Falls area.”

Truly Nolen of America was founded in 1938 and is based in Tucson, Ariz. The company has more than 80 branch offices in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Utah. In addition, it has independently owned and operated franchises in Kentucky, Georgia, New Jersey, Canada, Puerto Rico and more than 60 countries.
