Rentokil Steritech acquired New Berlin, Wisc.-based Batzner Pest Control Inc. The company services the greater Milwaukee area and other parts of Wisconsin, as well as in Michigan, Minnesota and northern Illinois. The transaction closed in June, and terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
More than 165 employees are absorbed by Rentokil Steritech, including 100 technician specialists and 25 managers. Started in 1946 by Ed Batzner, ownership was transferred to Al and Gloria Batzner in 1972, then to their son Jerry Batzner in 1990.
Jerry Batzner, the current CEO and president, and his daughter and general manager Melissa Batzner Krische will remain with the business.

Batzner Pest Control Inc. was represented by LR Tullius, its exclusive financial advisor.
