Holder’s celebrates 70 years

Houston-based Holder’s Pest Solutions, a Copesan Pest Solutions Partner, is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2017.

“We are extremely proud to have been one of Houston’s leading pest control companies for the past 70 years,” says Regional Manager Jeff Keller. “Since our founding in 1947, our company has placed an emphasis on providing clients with the highest degree of personal service, outstanding performance and unconditional satisfaction. We can’t wait to continue to serve Houston for the next 70 years and beyond.”

Founded by Lonnie Holder in 1947, Holder’s was the eighth pest control company licensed by the Texas Structural Pest Control Board. Originally named Holder’s Pest Control, the company was recognized for years by Bubba the Roach, the famous cockroach sign that was above the former Holder’s office on Southwest Freeway. After 42 years alongside the freeway, the company rebranded to Holder’s Pest Solutions in 2012 and retired its iconic logo.

The company celebrated its 70th anniversary at a company-wide event on Aug. 1, 2017. Employees were given a Bubba the Roach T-shirt to honor Holder’s influential presence in the Houston area and enjoyed a catered lunch.
