As families go into back-to-school mode, you may soon be getting calls about so-called “super lice.”
Jeff White, entomologist for Lawrenceville, N.J.-based BedBug Central and Cooper Pest Solutions, was a featured guest earlier this year on the “Dr. Oz” TV show, discussing an emerging, pesticide-resistant strain of lice in all 50 states — and the impact this trend can have on schools and households.
Although lice control is not a service we’ll see technicians treating for anytime soon, it can be a smart move to position your firm as an information resource on the topic.
“Lice affects millions of families every year, and it was a lot of fun to get the opportunity to share good, accurate facts on lice so that those who are affected can handle the situation in a knowledgeable and effective fashion,” White said of his experience filming with Dr. Mehmet Oz.
