Jim Swayne, left, shakes hands with Bob Benbow over the new franchise agreement.

Clearwater, Fla.-based Safer Home Services has opened its first franchise location in Tyrone, Ga., a southwestern suburb of Atlanta. It will be owned and operated by Bob Benbow, who has nearly 30 years in the pest and termite industry. He is a former colleague of Safer Home’s president and CEO, Jim Swayne, as well as Chairman and 2017 PMP Hall of Famer Chuck Steinmetz, at Sears Authorized Termite & Pest Control where he was the Southeast region manager.

Benbow has operated his own pest and termite control business, Environmental Pest Specialists, for the last 18 years and will be folding his current customers into the Safer Home Services franchise.

“I’m excited to join the Safer Home Services family, and especially happy to be working with Jim and Chuck again,” Benbow says. “They have built a world-class service delivery company that focuses first and foremost on customer satisfaction. The Safer Home Services business model leverages an industry-best cash flow design and higher margins, so franchisees can experience the same rapid growth as the parent company has.”

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Bob on board,” says Swayne. “We look forward to helping him build a great business in Atlanta.”

Swayne adds that franchising “offers Safer another important growth avenue and access to talent we wouldn’t have otherwise. Georgia is a great pest and termite market; one we have a lot of experience in and have had lots of success there in the past.“
