This well house solution is a non-chemical termite barrier installed by a Polyguard-authorized pest management professional (PMP). The use of termiticides around well houses can be complicated and labor-intensive. Integrating the TERM protocol for well houses gives the PMP cost and environmental benefits, while remaining effective, the company says. After the concrete slab is poured, TERM Sealant Barrier, used for both waterproofing and pest exclusion, is caulked around plumbing penetrations. A small, wedge-shaped trench is then dug around the structure and TERM Particle Barrier is installed. When used together in well-house construction, TERM Particle Barrier and Sealant Barrier may provide a pesticide-free solution to termite intrusion.
