Incoming or existing students of any college horticultural program can now apply for a new $500 bi-annual scholarship from BurrowRx, a San Diego, Calif.-based rodent control device manufacturer.
“We want to help boost the careers of hard-working students as they decide to enter a horticultural program to start learning about their future profession,” says Peter Kinnally, owner and president of BurrowRx, noting that professional pest management is often one of their career options.
The scholarship is open to all students attending a U.S.-based higher learning institution, whether a college or university, and will be offered at $500 twice a year (every July and January). The first scholarship will be announced July 23, 2018.
Applications are currently open for the scholarship. Interested students can download an application on the BurrowRx website at www.burrowrx.com/scholarshipapp. Students must apply by July 15, 2018 to be considered for the July scholarship. Applications should be emailed to scholarship@BurrowRx.com.
Once the scholarship winner is announced in July, students will then be able to start applying for the winter scholarship later that month.
