Turner Pest Control, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based provider of comprehensive pest control services to residential and commercial clients in Florida and South Georgia, is now one of only four companies in the United States to offer Anticimex SMART. This solution, already in use throughout Europe, Asia and Australia, marks a new era in “intelligent, digital pest control,” the company says.

The Anticimex SMART solution uses non-toxic, high-tech traps with sensors that wirelessly report rodent activity. It allows business customers to harness the power of data to develop predictive strategies to increasingly refine the system’s effectiveness and cost-efficiency.

“This system brings a sharp new tool to Turner’s customized commercial service offering,” says Turner Pest Control CEO Mark Slater. “We can combine this digital automation with our traditional commercial pest control services and expertise to deliver more precise solutions for our clients.”

Advantages of the system for clients include automated 24/7 surveillance, data analysis and trend curve information for forecasting potential infestations, digital reporting, and rapid response times. The solution detects pest problems as they are happening, eliminates in-person interaction with rodents, and even allows detection of pests in well-hidden areas below ground.

“This is a truly exciting time in our industry,” Slater says. “We’re able to provide intelligent pest control solutions that save customers time and money, and that are better for people and the environment. This is a perfect example of the direction the pest control industry is taking toward using technology to improve our stewardship of the health and safety of the communities we serve.”
