With high waves and wind, members of the Michigan Pest Management Association (MPMA) sailed out for the Second Annual MPMA Fishing Tournament on Aug. 18. Lake Michigan tested the fishermen’s resolve, but they enjoyed the beautiful scenery of northern Michigan while contributing to the worthy cause of the MPMA Scholarship fund. Five boats took approximately 20 pest management professionals willing to brave the high seas for what turned out to be some terrific fishing of trout and king salmon.

Not only did the group take in a good amount of fish, they also raised more than $1,800 for the MPMA scholarship fund. Corteva Agriscience, Bayer U.S., Zoecon Professional Products, Univar USA, and MGK all contributed to the cause.
