After a lengthy application process and neutral deliberation by a third-party panel, Cincinnati, Ohio-based Ace Exterminating has been selected as a finalist in the 2018 Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics. Ace Exterminating is a family-owned and -operated company that has served the Greater Cincinnati area since 1949.
The Torch Awards is the pinnacle event of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Center for Ethics, intended to acknowledge and celebrate those organizations that take its mission — to provide ethics education, direction and recognition to employers and employees of today and tomorrow — to heart. The Center commends Ace Exterminating on its dedication and looks forward to recognizing their efforts at the event.
“Ethics are very important to us at the Center, as we believe them to be an integral part of creating a prepared and trustworthy workforce,” says Corrie McGlothlin, vice president of BBB Center for Ethics. “Organizations like Ace Exterminating that have adopted ethics as an essential part of their business practice, exemplify the best Cincinnati has to offer. We are very excited to count Ace Exterminating among our finalists this year and we look forward to honoring them at our 18th annual Torch Awards.”
Of the pool of applicants, seven organizations will be honored as finalists at this year’s event.
“Our company has always endeavored to ‘do the right thing’ for our customers and employees,” says Rick Steinau, president of Ace Exterminating. “The Torch Awards expressly reveres that attribute. By applying for the award, we are honoring our employees, who deserve to be recognized for their dedication to adhering to that quality.”
