Clyde King has joined Philadelphia, Pa.-based The Potomac Co.’s Pest Control Group as director of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), with a special focus on family businesses.

Based in Orlando, Fla., King most recently served as director of acquisitions for Massey Services. During his 19 years with the company, he helped transform Massey from a Florida pest control business to a $250 million regional powerhouse.

“Since retiring from a long career with an outstanding company, I’ve received a variety of offers to continue doing what I know and love in the pest control industry,” King says, adding that with Potomac, “I am thrilled to be part of a truly international organization and I am excited to be on the same side of the table as Paul Giannamore and his team and advise on transactions around the world.”

“We’ve worked closely with Clyde for almost 15 years, and I can’t think of a better addition to our team in the Southeast,” notes Paul Giannamore, managing director of The Potomac Co. “Clyde has a unique knack for helping family businesses navigate the sale and succession process, and as part of Potomac will be able to advise family businesses on a global scale. We’re truly excited to have him as part of our team.”
