The green-friendly DT2000XLP one-acre mosquito trap contains a surface treated with titanium dioxide (TiO2), which is activated by an exclusive, ultraviolet (UV)-producing lamp to ignite a photocatalytic reaction that converts organic matter into carbon dioxide (CO2) to attract mosquitoes and other flying insects. Once lured to the source of CO2, insects are quickly swept into the retaining basket by the whisper-quiet internal fan, where they dehydrate and die. The basket quickly twists off to conveniently empty contents. The DT2000XLP’s larger retaining basket requires less-frequent emptying, making servicing the unit easy.
