Chesapeake, Va.-based HomePro Pest Control has been acquired as part of an asset purchase agreement by Rollins Inc., Atlanta, Ga. Terms were not disclosed. The Aust Group represented HomePro as the exclusive financial advisor on this transaction.

Mickey Ferrell, the owner of HomePro Pest Control, formed the company in 2007. Ferrell, his wife Denise, and their son Matthew have grown the business over the last several years into a leading pest control brand in the Virginia Beach market servicing a predominantly residential customer base. HomePro has been awarded the Pilot Reader’s Choice Award since 2013.

“As we started thinking of selling, we wanted to work with a company who understood pest control, understood the nuances of the specialized services,” the Ferrells noted in a press release. “The Aust Group stood out. Their previous ownership of a pest company was so helpful, we talked the same language. The experience we have had with the Aust Group has been outstanding. From the beginning and right through the closing they were great. We would highly recommend The Aust Group if you are in the market to sell your business. Let them help you!”

“I’m delighted for Mickey and Denise Ferrell, and their son Matthew of HomePro Pest Control, as they have built an impressive company over the years,” Stuart Aust, a regular contributor to PMP magazine, said in a press release. “HomePro makes a great fit for Rollins due to their team-oriented culture and reputation for customer service in Virginia Beach and the surrounding areas.”
