Senske Services decorated the 80-foot tree for the annual Spokane Tree Lighting Celebration in Spokane, Wash.

Put on by the city of Spokane and Riverfront Park, the celebration will be held on Nov. 30 in Riverfront Park. Senske team members will be on hand to distribute 3D glasses that display fun holograms within the Christmas lights.

This is the third year that Senske Services of Spokane has donated the lighting for the fir tree. Installing the lights requires a 125-foot lift and takes about 32 man-hours, says Timm Turnbough, branch manager. It will take another 18 hours to remove the lights at the end of this holiday season, he explains.

The Christmas tree is covered in 2,500 LED, C-9 bulbs stretching more than 3,125 feet in length. The giant red bow is 10 feet tall, and six large light bursts top the tree.

Kevin Bordelon, maintenance manager, looks forward each year to attending the lighting event and handing out hologram glasses.

“This year we plan on including a snow machine to make the event even more festive,” he says.

After the event, the festive tree remains lit throughout the holiday season.
