On March 31, Memphis, Tenn.-based Terminix acquired Neotec Pest Management and Neotec Pest Elimination, two Florida-based pest control firms that focused on primarily commercial accounts. Neotec was represented by Kemp Anderson Consulting, but terms were not disclosed.

Neotec Founder Bill McGrath began his career in the pest control industry in 1992 as a night service technician for a large firm. His career path included overseeing commercial service operations for Central and Northeast Florida. In August 2001, McGrath founded NeoGuard Pest Elimination Services,  serving both Central and Southeast Florida. The company became the predecessor of Neotec Pest Elimination, which was founded in December 2008.

“Our Florida pest elimination company objective is to have the best people possible serving our clients,” the Neotec website explains. “It has been part of our culture from the beginning to hire well qualified people with past industry experience for our service positions.”As noted in a press release, Neotec’s guiding principle for its commercial accounts in particular is “Neotec’s reputation with our customers is as important as your reputation with yours.”

Based in Winter Park, Fla., Kemp Anderson Consulting offers several services, including selling and divestiture support; acquisition support; valuations experience; financial consulting; capital raising; and wealth management.

Of the Neotec/Terminix transaction, President Kemp Anderson noted in a press release, “As a commercial pest control company covering a great deal of the Florida population, Neotec was unique to represent. Terminix and their acquisition team were extremely positive, efficient and great to work with as a buyer; and they acquired a great company.”
