LIPCA promotes McGinty, Langwell

Baton Rouge, La.-based LIPCA Insurance has promoted Andy McGinty and Vickie Langwell to chief executive officer and chief operations officer, respectively.

McGinty, previously executive vice president and chief operations officer, has been with the company since 1991. He will continue to be in charge of all marketing, claim litigation, and loss control services, as well as expanding LIPCA’s program with additional available insurance markets.

Langwell, who joined LIPCA in 2001, also remains chief financial officer of the firm, its subsidiaries and holdings. She is responsible for all accounting and financial functions, compliance, and overseeing underwriting, human resources and IT for the company.

Its sole insurance program is completely focused on pest and lawn businesses and their exposures. LIPCA specializes with GL, Property, IM, BPP, CYBER and Excess/Umbrella coverages. In addition, LIPCA has free pest, termite, bed bug and other contract templates available for its insureds.

LIPCA Insurance is in an agreement with Berkley Underwriting Partners to offer its pest insurance product written on StarNet Insurance Company and other W.R. Berkley Corp. member insurance companies, all of which are rated A+ (Superior) by AM Best Co.  StarNet is one of the longest-running national pest insurance carriers in the United States.  LIPCA’s program is offered through admitted and surplus lines carriers that are both A+ rated by AM Best.
