McHenry, Ill.-based Schopen Pest Solutions has promoted its office manager, Laura Lentz, to operations manager. In her new duties, Lentz oversees all aspects of operations such as service pricing, advertising, chemical purchases, office maintenance and employee equipment.

“Laura has grown in stride with Schopen Pest Solutions over the last five years,” company owner Pete Schopen, Pest Management Professional’s longtime “Start-Up Diaries” columnist, said in a news release. “Laura is someone who loves a challenge, and has a great working relationship with our clients.”

Before joining Schopen Pest Solutions in 2016 as a customer service representative, Lentz, a Harvard, Ill., native, was a loan officer and assistant manager in the banking industry. According to the news release, she “enjoys the fast-paced environment at Schopen and loves the pest control industry. In her free time, she is an avid jogger and hiker.” She and her husband have two grown children and reside in Wonder Lake, Ill. Her son, Jeremy, also works at Schopen Pest Solutions — and won its Rookie of the Year award in 2019.
