Gregg Schumaker has joined East Granby, Conn.-based Wildlife Control Supplies (WCS) as director of business and product development.

“Gregg is absolutely the right person for this job. He is a highly respected wildlife professional and has the experience and knowledge needed to help WCS continue to expand its services to our industry and its customers,” said Alan Huot, who co-founded WCS with his wife, Carol.

Schumaker started his career in wildlife with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), managing various projects. He has also held positions with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the National Park Service. He has owned and operated Wildlife Management & Nuisance Removal Inc. in northern Michigan for more than 25 years, and has held various leadership positions with the Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA), including president. Most recently, he served as NWCOA’s training director, where he focused on expanding the association’s training offerings and enrollment.

“WCS is very excited to have Gregg join the team, as he will help us to continue to improve our level of service, expertise, and introduce new and effective products — all things that WCS has been known for from its beginnings in 1998,” WCS President Dave Kresge said in a news release.
