Phoenix, Ariz.,-based Contractors Termite & Pest Control merges with Tucson, Ariz.,-based Northwest Exterminating, an Anticimex company, to form the largest pest control agency in Arizona.

Northwest Exterminating has over 30 years of experience prior to becoming an Anticimex company in 2020. This is the first acquisition to increase the company’s reach in Arizona communities.

“Northwest and Contractor’s has had a long, professional respect and friendship with one another,” Northwest Exterminating President Dena Berg-Castaño said. “The similarities between our two companies, foundation of preconstruction termite services and emphasis on delivering quality work, just made sense. We are very excited to welcome the team members to the Northwest and Anticimex family.”

Owner of Contractors Termite & Pest Control Kevin Etheridge said the merger was a sensible thing to do to secure the future of Contractors Termite & Pest Control and its employees.

“Northwest and Contractors have for years been business friends and mentors,” Etheridge said. “We share the same pretreat platform, so I am delighted that Northwest and Anticimex will be at the helm going forward.”

Owner of Contractors Termite & Pest Control Kevin Etheridge first started working in the pest management field in 1972. In 1983, Etheridge started Contracts Termite & Pest Control in Brea, Calif. Etheridge moved to Arizona in 1994 and was able to expand the company to the Phoenix metro area.

Contractors Termite & Pest Control provides residential pest control services and pre-treatment services to residential home builder communities.

Terms of the merger were not disclosed, but LR Tullius represented and acted as exclusive financial advisor to Contractor’s Termite & Pest Control on the transaction.
