IPMA hosts Advanced Termite Workshop

The Indiana Pest Management Association (IPMA), BASF, Veseris and Target Specialty Products  sponsored a one-day Advanced Termite Workshop at the Hilton Garden Inn in Edinburgh, Ind., on Nov. 30.

The event had more than 50 attendees from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio Kentucky and Texas. Attendees learned tips on the most effective termite treatment tools, equipment and control methods as well as proper inspection techniques, record keeping and review termite horror stories to keep companies out of legal problems.

Presenters at the workshop included Paul Bello, of PJB Pest Management Consulting; Dr. Jason Meyers, of BASF; and Adrian Culpepper, of BASF.

Bello has a bachelor degree in entomology from the University of Georgia, as well as a master in business administration degree in accounting from Adelphi University. He also has more than 44 years of experience in the pest control industry as a business owner and educator.

Dr. Meyers has been with BASF since 2008 and currently serves as a market development specialist. He has degrees from Missouri State University and the University of Arkansas, and his doctorate from Texas A&M.

Culpepper has served in various capacities with BASF since 2014 and currently is a pest control field representative for Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia.

The Indiana Pest Management Association has over 200 members. The non-for-profit organization provides training and education of the pest control industry throughout the Hoosier state.
