AP&G Co. employees donated their gently used winter coats to those in need this winter.

David Leon, AP&G human resources director, recently coordinated a coat drive at the Bayonne, N.J., location to collect winter coats for those in need.

Leon collected a total of 54 coats all brought in by AP&G Co. employees. The coats were sorted and dropped off for donation to the Jersey Cares Coat Drive.

The new and gently used winter coats were for men, women and children, and were later distributed to local people in need through non-profit organizations. The distribution side was led by Jersey Cares, an organization that describes itself as one that “increases the level of meaningful volunteer engagement by creating and managing efficient, impactful projects that address critical community-identified needs.”

“It was great to see the team come together to help those in the community who are in need. I was not at all surprised to see the generous spirit of our employees come through for a great cause. Kudos to David for his coordination and hard work to make this coat drive happen,” said Jonathan Frisch, VP of sales and marketing, AP&G Co.
