Massey Services, a family-owned pest prevention company, promoted Tom “T.J.” Jarzynka to vice president of technical and training.

In his new role, Jarzynka will oversee Massey Services’ pest and termite technical and training division, which includes field training managers, quality assurance managers and technical directors.

Prior to his promotion, Jarzynka served as senior director of pest prevention. He began his career at Massey Services in 2000 as a commercial division sales manager, receiving several awards and promotions during his tenure with the company. He has also received national recognition for his technical leadership and process contributions.

“Tom’s commitment to our company and our industry is evident in everything he does,” said Tony Massey, President and CEO of Massey Services. “He is a talented coach and leader and is always willing to talk through a problem or service issue with a team member to find a resolution. He is also passionate about researching new products and testing new and innovative ways to improve our systems and procedures. I know Tom will do an excellent job in his new role.”

Jarzynka, a 40-year veteran of the professional pest control industry, played a crucial role in developing the company’s bed bug heat remediation process. The process continued, patented with Jarzynka’s name on it. Additionally, he serves on the QualityPro board of directors for the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), along with its commercial committee and P3 Steering Committee, which proactively reviews current future trends to determine how the NPMA will respond to the industry’s emerging needs.
