Tuff Turf Molebusters acquired by Credo Private Capital

Tuff Turf Molebusters was acquired by Credo Private Capital, according to Generational Equity, a mergers and acquisitions advisor for privately held businesses. The transaction closed Feb. 28.

Tuff Turf Molebusters is a pest control and fertilizer services company located in Byron Center, Mich. The company has experienced growth and continued profitability during its over 25 years in business, and plans to continue its growth.

The company is a seven-time Super Service Award winner with Angie’s List. This award is given to the top five percent of companies nationwide that show great customer service and quality work. Tuff Turf Molebusters is also an A+ accredited business with the Better Business Bureau, according to a news release.

Credo Private Capital was formed to provide business owners and management team access to an investment partner that does not have constrains associated with traditional private equity. It is a long-term investor that believes companies should be operated based on what is best for the business, its employees and its customers. With no predetermined investment timelines, the company’s ownership is similar to a second-generation business owner.

The principals of Credo Private Capital have been involved in over 20 transactions comprising over $300 million of invested capital over the past 15 years, consisting of companies ranging in size from $1 million to over $30 million of EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) across a variety of industries including manufacturing, value-add distribution and business services.

Generational Equity Executive Managing Director of Mergers and Acquisitions – Central Region Michael Goss, and his team led by Senior Managing Director Northeast Region Doug Smith, with support from Managing Director of Mergers & Acquisitions Ryan Johnson, successfully closed the transaction. Senior Managing Director Roger Dean established the initial relationship with Tuff Turf Molebusters.
