LOGO: RENTOKILThe Potomac Company announced acquisition of its client, Eitan Amichai “IPM”, by Rentokil.

With this transaction, the news release notes, Rentokil has “entered Israel as the largest pest control company in the country, as well as substantially bolstered its global capabilities in the remote monitoring segment of commercial pest control.”

IPM specializes in the safety of commercial spaces, offering its high-end pest control services to over 7,500 commercial sites in Israel including Nestle, Unilever, Strauss Group, the Tempo and Heineken group, Coca-Cola, Teva Pharmaceuticals, McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Domino’s, Facebook, Microsoft, Google and more.

IPM was founded in 1963 by Eitan Amichai who, with over 50 years of pest control experience, laid the foundation for high quality pest solutions specifically in the food, pharmaceutical and hospitality industries. Per the news release, Amichai’s vision was “to transform the pest control industry by providing real-time intelligence at a customer’s site, allowing technicians to interact with a site automatically and remotely, and start their service in a more dynamic and timely fashion compared with traditional methods, providing a more effective and efficient service as well as a better experience for the customers.”

Amichai’s son, Ronen, joined the family business and helped grow the company’s workforce from five employees to over 100. In 2014, Ronen became the owner and CEO and worked to grow IPM into the largest, most widely known pest control service across Israel. Ronen followed in his father’s footsteps of innovation, and implemented artificial intelligence (AI) technology into their services, featuring a self-monitoring, non-toxic rodent trapping system to boost IPM’s customer expansion and retention success.

“We are thrilled to partner with Rentokil, and we anticipate the opportunity to work with a company that shares IPM’s goals and priorities,” Ronen said in the release.

Paul Giannamore and Franco Villanueva-Meyer acted as exclusive financial advisors to Eitan Amicahi IPM in this transaction. Terms were not disclosed.
