PestCo Holdings acquires Romney Pest Control, Phenom Pest Protection

LOGO: THOMPSON STREET CAPITAL PARTNERSThompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP), a private equity firm based in St. Louis, Mo., announced its portfolio company PestCo Holdings has acquired the assets of Romney Pest Control and Phenom Pest Protection.

Romney Pest Control is a residential pest control provider operating throughout Texas with branch locations in Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio and Houston. Its sister company, Phenom Pest Protection, provides similar residential pest control services throughout Maryland.

This is the ninth investment for PestCo, an acquisition company formed to consolidate the highly fragmented pest control industry. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Romney and Phenom are well-managed, high-quality businesses with an excellent track record of growth,” Jay Keating, CEO of PestCo Holdings, said in the news release. “We look forward to working closely with the local teams to grow these operations and our footprint in Texas and Maryland.”

Greg Romney, owner of Romney Pest Control and co-owner of Phenom Pest Protection, added, “Romney and Phenom have always prioritized our employees and providing quality pest control services to our customers. Partnering with PestCo and TSCP will drive continued growth and provide more opportunities for our team while continuing to offer top-tier service to our customers.”

Paul Giannamore and Franco Villanueva-Meyer of The Potomac Company represented and acted as the exclusive financial advisors to Romney Pest Control and Phenom Pest Protection in this transaction.
